PITAHAYA
Characteristics and History:
Pitahaya is from cactus family. It requires attention and care because it is affected from the sun burns and frosts. It has two kinds; white and red but this differentiation mainly results from the inside seeds seen when cut. When the fruit is cut it have some seeds in it like a sesame seed. These seeds are eaten with the fruit just like kiwi. If Pıtahaya is preferred to have a long yield, it should be cut from the stem.
Cultivation Locations:
Has been grown over 100 years mainly in Vietnam and in many regions of the world. Mainly Vietnam, Cambodia, Colombia, Equator and Israel.
Uses:
Improves vision and prevents high blood pressure, by the minerals and nutrition it contains
is healthy for the bones and the skeleton system as containing Calcium. Helps electrolysis and maintains the balance of body humidity.
How and Where to Use?
Eaten as fresh fruit, may be used in salads, desserts, dishes cocktails. Its decorative view will be coloring tour decorations garniture.

Stored in 7 ºC, %80 - %90 humidity
